Goliath beetle (Goliathus albosignatus) taxidermy pinning workshop
2 hrs | $100
June 7th, 6:00 PM (Sunday) beginner level class
Learn how to spread out and preserve an African goliath beetle, one of the heaviest flower
beetles in the entire world! Each class participant will be able to pick out their very own beetle specimen, learn about beetle anatomy, pose their insect, learn about the preservation process, and take their beetle home on an EVA foam pinning board to dry.
There are many different species within the genus of goliath beetles— we will be working on a smaller species from Tanzania, about 2.5 to 3 inches long.
Additional taxidermy supplies and framing options available for purchase in-store after class.
Each student will have a small kit to use during the workshop that they are welcome to take
home.
Children welcome if they are accompanied by an adult that is also participating in the workshop!
