HALLOWEEN bug pinning party, insect preservation pinning workshop

For this special workshop, we will be working on THREE different creepy insects together:
Indonesian huntsman spiders, red-headed centipedes, and the famous death’s head moth.
Each student will learn the insect preservation process, pick out their own bugs, identify the
anatomy of each type of insect, and spread the wings and legs of their spooky creatures. All in the Halloween atmosphere of Antioch’s spookiest store with snacks and drinks, as well as
classic horror movies playing in the background while we work.
Every person in attendance will take home their insects on EVA foam pinning boards to dry, as well as the insect preservation kit that they receive during class. Additional entomology supplies will be available for purchase in-store after the workshop if interested, including insect specimens to work on at home.
